While Funny Women continues to provide a unique platform for women to extend their comedic and creative boundaries, we also aim to raise awareness and funds for a variety of causes that directly affect women.
Funny Women likes to work with organisations that represent all aspects of women’s wellbeing – laughing about life to help and heal women - and empowering them to make a difference - helping women find their voice.
Through our events, Funny Women has raised heaps of awareness and over £100,000 for the following charities during the last eight years:

OBJECT is the leading organisation challenging the sexual objectification of women – the normalising of the porn and sex industries in the media and popular culture.
In 2009, OBJECT received: the Emma Humphries Memorial Prize, for work on violence against women; a Government-backed Capacity Builders Award and were ‘highly commended’ in the leading Third Sector Charity Awards.

As part of its ongoing commitment to help women find their voice, Funny Women has been raising awareness throughout this year's Funny Women Awarrds about UK Feminista, a brand new feminist campaigning organisation whose purpose is to end the continuing inequalities between women and men. UK Feminista supports everyone – women and men, young and old – to get active in campaigns against sexism, offering information, guidance and training on feminist activism.
